The UWI School of Veterinary Medicine presents a lecture by Dr. Gert Breur, Professor of Small Animal Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, College of Veterinary Medicine, Purdue University on the topic, Comparative Translational Research in a College of Veterinary Medicine.
The lecture takes place at noon.
About Professor Breur
Dr. Breur is a Professor in small animal orthopedics and neurosurgery, and Director of the Center for Comparative Translational Research at Purdue University, USA, as well as an Adjunct Professor in Small Animal Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at Madras Veterinary College, India. He is a graduate (DVM, 1980) from the State University of Utrecht (The Netherlands). He received his training in small animal surgery at Michigan State University (Internship and Residency) and his research training at Michigan State University (MS, 1986) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (PhD, 1990). He is certified in small animal surgery by the Royal Netherlands Veterinary Association (1992) and boarded by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (1994). Dr. Breurs interests include gait analysis, arthritis and skeletal development. Dr. Breur has over 160 presentations, over 60 peer reviewed publications and 8 book chapters.
