In recognition of Universal Children's Day and in celebration of the Break the Silence (BTS) Teacher Training and Student Art Contest: Raising Awareness about Gender, Child Sexual Abuse and Implications for HIV in Trinidad and Tobago, the Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) is hosting their first Art in Schools Awards and Break the Silence Media Campaign Highlights.
The event takes place from 10am to noon at the School of Education Auditorium. There will be performances, multimedia video clips, teachers’ toolkits and more.

The BTS Student Art Contest and Media Launch is open to the public. It is particularly important for the media, educators, policymakers; and persons working in the field of gender policy, planning and development, social services, mental health, and public health.
