The Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering hosts their Conference and Exhibition under the theme, Engineering Innovative Solutions.

The two-part event happening May 22 will showcase the Department’s Capstone Projects and selected postgraduate research projects and presentations all with the aim of finding new ways to solve everyday farming problems.

The Exhibition takes place from 9am to 6pm at the JFK Auditorium.

The Conference takes place from 6 to 8pm at the Engineering Lecture Theatre.

Projects include: 

  • Device to Pelletize Animal Feed
  • Equipment/Tool for Cocoa Harvesting
  • A cloth Weaving Machine
  • Motorizing of a Wheelbarrow
  • Natural Gas Production from Wood Waste
  • Reactor for Conversion of Waste Plastic to Liquid Fuel
  • The Fluid and Thermodynamic study of the Mitral Valve in the Human Heart
  • Machine to Extract Honey from Honeycombs
  • Thermo-acoustic Refrigeration Device
  • Finite Element Model for the Human Spine
  • Weight Drop Device for Seismic Testing
  • Wind Powered Energy Conversion Device
