The UWI FIFA CIES, under the Department of Management Studies hosts a public lecture on, eSports: The New Entertainment in the Digital Area by Mr. Juan Diego Garcia, South America Country Manager – Professional Videogames League.

The lecture takes place on September 14 from 2pm at the Lecture Theatre B, Teaching and Learning Complex (TLC).

About Juan Diego Garcia

Mr. Garcia hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and has extensive experience in Marketing and Sponsorship in the sports industry. Juan Diego’s knowledge and experience has ranged from being the Assistant of Marketing/Communications and Competition Area in Argentina’s Volleyball League, Manager of Marketing and Communications for the Club de Amigos.  Juan Diego was also part of the FIFA Marketing Team for the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup. Additionally, he was the Marketing and Sponsorship Director at the Argentina National Basketball League as well at the Marketing Global Director for the Argentina National Basketball Team. Today, he is the South America Country Manager for Mediapro-Fandroid Company in the eSports business and Worldwide Leader. (www.lvp.es) He is an alumnus of the FIFA Masters in Sports Law and Sports Management. He also has an MBA in Management Development and a Degree in Marketing/Strategic Marketing.
