The Campus Community is invited to attend the Faculty of Food and Agriculture Research Day on November 28th-29th 2019 under the theme "Actions for Food and Nutrition Security and Environmental Health.”
The 2-day event sponsored by Point Lisas Nitrogen Limited (PLNL) will commence with an opening ceremony which will take place at the Sir Frank Stockdale Building in Lecture Room C from 9:30-10:30am. The activity will highlight all the research done in the Faculty and all collaborations with various stakeholders. There will also be a mini-Stakeholder display providing career guidance for the benefit of students.
The feature speaker at the opening ceremony will be Mr. Bob O’Leary, Market Analyst for CF industries, a global leader in nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing and distribution.
Participants will be also be able to view research posters on display which will be judged followed by presentations from Faculty and students.
About the Feature Speaker Mr. Bob O’Leary
Bob O’Leary is a Market Analyst for CF Industries focused on agriculture supply and demand. This involves research into new agriculture technologies and their potential impact on U.S. and global agriculture. Bob is CF’s representative to the U.S. Grains Council, a U.S. grain export promotion board. Growing up working on his family’s dairy farm in Wisconsin, Mr. O’Leary has been involved in all levels of production agriculture and as a Corn Specialist helped farmers make better agronomic decisions.
