About Satira Maharaj

Ms. Satira Maharaj is a student of the Institute of Gender and Development Studies currently completing an MSc in Gender and Development Studies. She did an internship at the West Indiana and Special Collections Division, the Alma Jordan Library as part of her programme in 2020. Ms. Maharaj also lectures in Gender Studies at Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies. In her former life, she was an engineer with ten years’ experience in oil and gas. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, she enjoyed Latin dancing with the Salsa Vive dance team.
