The pandemic has not stopped the need for us to give back.  More than ever, we need to help meet the needs of our local and regional communities. Demonstrate your civic mindedness and support, by volunteering with one of the local and regional organisations which will be represented at the Volunteer Open Day on March 18.

The Volunteer open Day is an opportunity to get informed about ways you can volunteer and give back to communities during this pandemic. You will have the opportunity to engage with the UWI Student Life and Development Department and NGOs such as:

 

  • Mindwise – Building Sustainable Minds
  • WISH Foundation – (Women In Science for Hope)
  • Rape Crisis Centre
  • Caribbean Centre For Human Rights
  • Mindwise Project
  • CREDO Foundation for Justice
  • National Drama Association of Trinidad and Tobago
  • Feminitt Caribbean
  • The Oral Tradition ROOTS Foundation
  • National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago
  • The Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society
  • Let's Read
  • The Southmind Trinidad and Tobago

 

At this event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about various organizations and sign up for volunteer opportunities of their choice.
