Conservation Conversation: Bioremediation of Oil Spills

Event Date(s): 25/11/2021

The UWI Biological Society would like to invite all students to attend our next Conservation Conversation session on Thursday, November 25 from 1:30 - 4 p.m.

The session will focus on the Bioremediation of Oil Spills and will be facilitated by Mr. Sheldon Ramoutar, a Research Officer at the Institute of Marine Affairs.

This Conservation Conversation will accordingly raise pivotal discussions on Oil Spills, which are frequent and harmful incidents that threaten the wellbeing of local environments, bodies of water, and organisms, especially in the context of Trinidad and Tobago. Bioremediation offers a potential method of reducing the impact of spills through the usage of natural decomposers.
