The Social Work Programme, Department of Behavioural Sciences, will be hosting a Virtual Social Work Breakfast Meeting. The theme for the virtual meeting is “Social Work: An Essential Profession For Caribbean Development". This educational session is intended to raise awareness of the value of the Social Work profession in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean and the potential of the profession to promote the well-being, social cohesion, and the empowerment people. The session will include presentations from the President of the Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators, graduate students and esteemed members of the social work profession in Trinidad and Tobago.
The presentation delves into defining the profession, analysing the potential for using social work to influence social change and development and the opportunities available for students to pursue this as their career.
The sessions is scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 10 - 11:30 a.m.
