The Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) presents its Reflective Practice Series. Members of staff are invited to join them for the first of two sessions which will be facilitated by  Dr. Dianne Thurab-Nkhosi, Faculty Development Specialist: Blended Learning, The UWI St. Augustine and focus on Reflective Practice & Action Research.

Reflective practice and action research are tantamount in Higher Education. It is one of the easiest ways to develop your teaching practice while meeting the need for scholarly publications. This session is intended to encourage participants to think as teacher-researchers. The session focuses attention on the role of reflection in scholarly approaches to teaching, and the ways in which a scholarly approach to teaching can be used to build a research portfolio.
