McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill - Virtual Information Session

Event Date(s): 20/04/2022

The McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-based scholarships for master’s and professional studies. This scholarship programme brings together exceptional students who strive to engage in positive change by taking on meaningful leadership roles.

In the first year of global admissions, The UWI has been invited to endorse a target number of five nominations. As such each campus is asked to nominate at least one (but no more than two) outstanding candidate(s) to be considered by the selection committee for up to 10 full global scholarships.

The scholarship covers:

  • Tuition and fees for one of 150+ eligible programs at McGill University in Montréal, Canada
  • Living stipend of $2,000 CAD per month during academic terms
  • Mentorship, advisors, and coaching
  • An intensive leadership development program

There is also the opportunity for outstanding candidates who distinguished themselves during the interview process (but did not receive any of the 10 full international scholarships), to be eligible for a one-time CAN$20,000 International Finalist Award for full-time enrolment in an eligible Master’s or professional programme at McGill University.

To ensure that each campus has an adequate pool of outstanding students from which to make their nomination, The UWI’s Office of Global Affairs is organizing a university-wide virtual information session on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2 p.m.  This will also provide students with an opportunity to learn more about the scholarship, McGill University and Montréal, Canada.
