The UWI Open Days

ALL prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students are invited to set foot on the campus and learn more about what it’s like to #BeUWI!

The 3-Day Open Day will be held on Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.  Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and chat with Faculty reps on the JFK Quadrangle, learn more about the programmes offered at information sessions in the JFK and get assistance with completing their application at our applications centre in the JFK Auditorium.

Some of the other attractions will include: food vendors, live animals, hearing, eye and blood pressure testing, and sporting games.

For attendees wishing to apply on the day

Applicants are required to walk with original, copies and scans of their official documents. Supporting documents must be certified by a Notary Public or Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Affidavit or School Principal/ Vice Principal. This may also be done by our admissions officers but you must walk with the original versions. The documents can also be scanned at our application centre and saved to your flash drive.

  • Undergraduate Confirmation Receipt - COMPULSORY for ALL online applicants.
  • Application Processing Fee Payment Form / Online Payment Confirmation Email / Bank Draft - COMPLUSORY for ALL applicants (Bank Draft/Cheque in US $ or TT $) Cheques should be made payable to ‘The University of the West Indies'
  • Birth Certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Legal Affidavit or Deed Poll (If present name is different from that on the Birth Certificate)
  • Academic Certificates
  • Professional Certificate/Diploma
  • Official Transcript (This does NOT apply to High/Secondary School students in Trinidad & Tobago)

 

Supplemental Documents

  •  TOEFL Examination Score (If English is not your native language) Score of 500 or greater
  • The University of Cambridge IELTS (If English is not your native language) Score of 6.5 or greater
  • Autobiographical Statement (300 Words) (Applicants to All Faculty of Medical Sciences programmes ONLY)
  • Supplemental Sheet I (Applicants to BSc Nursing (Post RN), BSc Human Ecology programmes ONLY)
  • Supplemental Sheet II - Non Academic Criteria for Selection Form (Applicants to MB.BS, DDS & DVM Programmes ONLY)
  • Supplemental Sheet III - Employee and Referee Information (Applicants to Certificate, Diploma and BEd programmes ONLY)
  • Police Certificate of Character (Applicants to ECCD, BEd ECCE, BEd Primary (General) programmes ONLY)
