Save the Date! The Office of the Vice-Chancellor, in collaboration with the Caribbean Centre for Educational Planning (CCEP), will host a Vice-Chancellor’s Forum on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. (AST/Eastern Caribbean)/ 10:00 a.m. (Jamaica).
The Forum will examine the 2021 Orlando Patterson Commission Report on the Jamaican education system, with a view to:
− explore how its findings and recommendations may be interpreted and applied to the effectively address the education system in Jamaica;
− identify the elements of the report which may be relevant to education systems across the Caribbean; and
− discuss education transformation efforts in jurisdictions outside the Caribbean to uncover practice models which may be helpful to Caribbean countries.
