Executive Transition Programme: Resume Writing

Are you a second year student ready to take your career planning to the next level? Are you willing to take the next step to prepare for your dream job? Is being an executive part of your career goals? The Department of Careers, Co-curricular and Community Engagement have the perfect package for you!

The department is looking for those unique students who wish to transition into the leaders of tomorrow’s workforce. Through the Executive Transition Programme we wish to equip you with the tools necessary to help you succeed in the workplace. We invite industry professionals to come on the campus and speak with you on various issues that can enhance your professional development.   Take the opportunity to receive information and interact with industry experts on the following areas:

  • Developing your unique professional brand
  •  Creating the winning resume
  • Navigating the Workplace – How to Succeed in Your First Job After Graduation
  • Harnessing your professional interview skills

 

The programme is designed to run the course of four sessions. Your successful completion of these four sessions, as well as completing a career assessment and a one-on-one resume critique, will earn you a certificate that can be used as part of your career portfolio and a nice addition to your resume.   • Resume Writing (FHE, FSS, FSPT, FLAW): Thursday, November 3 | LRC Auditorium
  • Navigating the Workplace: Tuesday, November 1 | Via Zoom platform
  • Interview Preparation: Thursday, January 26 | (TBA)
