The University of the West Indiees, School of Continuing Studies will host the launch of the Green Face Man, on Saturday 12th April, 2008 at the Rudranath Capildeo Learning Resource Centre, Couva. The Green Face Man, a publication of short stories and poems, by Dr. Rosanne Kanhai will be presented from 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Kanhai, Professor of English and Women Studies, Director at Western Washington University and visiting Lecturer of Modern American Literary Prose and Literature of the Indian Diaspora (UWI) is also the author of a book of poetry, Rage and Renewal and, Matikor: The Politics of Identity for Indo-Caribbean Women. With a presentation titled, Memory, Myth and Monster in the Landscape of Sugar, Dr. Kanhai succeeded in being the first speaker of the Department of Liberal Arts’ Lunchtime Speaker Series which began on Tuesday 18^th March, 2008.

The Green Face Man is currently available in the UWI Bookshop and will be available nationwide from April 6^th.
