Have you ever heard about the hidden job market? Many employers often use the strategy of referrals from trusted sources to fill job vacancies. Therefore, it is important to have a network that is relevant to your career aspirations.
On Thursday December 1, at 1:30 p.m. the Division of Student Services and Development will host a virtual session entitled Networking and Community Outreach. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn the dos and don’ts of successful networking.
This session is open to all students who would have the opportunity to learn about the significance of community outreach. In the same way, consumers want to align themselves with socially responsible companies; companies want to hire employees who share their values. Community work is one way persons can demonstrate this and this session will teach the benefits of community outreach.
