The United Nations’ annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 2022 promoted innovations and strategic, transformative solutions for inclusive development. NODES supports the UN’s view of disability as a social construct and works towards changing society to attain fundamental freedoms for those with disabilities. It identifies equal access to education at all levels; housing, employment and economic accessibility; services and goods and social protection for persons with disabilities in the Caribbean. This event specifically sets out to locate pathways towards transformative solutions for inclusion.
