The Faculty of Law is hosting a two-day virtual workshop, A Practical Approach to Procurement: Explaining the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act, featuring Tricia Chin, Attorney – at -Law, LL.B, LLM, Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply.

The recently proclaimed Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act will transform the public procurement process. It is essential that State agencies and Ministries become aware of the main components of the legislation to ensure that there are no breaches. Through this workshop, the Faculty offers for legal professionals assistance in explaining the legislation in a practical way among industry personnel with expertise from procurement professionals. It will increase compliance by State actors with the newly proclaimed legislation: The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act. The effect of this will be that public procurement processes can be fairer and result in better value for money.  Participants will gain increased awareness and understanding of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Property Act.
