This year's Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony will be hosted on Thursday, September 28 at 6p.m. at The UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre (UWI SPEC).

Matriculation is the ceremony that formally recognises first-year students as members of the academic community and the University. 'Matriculate' comes from late Latin matricula which means ‘register'. At Matriculation all first-year students sign the University register, recite the academic vow and are recognised as members of the academic committee by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. All first-year Undergraduate students are required to attend Matriculation. Each first-year student is permitted one guest.

ARRIVAL TIME

Please note that students should arrive at the venue by 5.15p.m., and guests should arrive by 5.30p.m.
