UWI Arts Chorale and UWI Arts Steel present "MISSA" at the Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Curepe, on Sunday December 3 at 6:00 p.m.

Be prepared for an experience that seeks to entertain and inspire as Music Directors, Jessel Murray and Khion De Las conduct the premier chorale and steel ensembles of the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA), The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.

The newly renovated and air-conditioned Our Lady of Fatima RC Church offers a performance space that will capture the emotions of the music and the atmosphere of the season.

The UWI Arts Chorale and Sinfonia will render the national premiere of Joseph Haydn’s “Missa Sancti Nicolai”, the Mass for the Feast of Saint Nicholas. St. Nicholas Day in 2023 will three days later on December 6. The UWI Arts Steel with DCFA dancers will give the world premiere performance of excerpts from “Dancing on Steel”. “Dancing on Steel” was composed by DCFA Senior Lecturer, Dr. Jeannine Remy. Watch out for the full premiere in April 2024.

Both the Chorale and Steel will present music of the Season including the ever popular and patented Chorale/Steel audience sing-a-long!
