The UWI, through the University Office of Research and the European Union invites you to a virtual Information Session on Opportunities for Cooperation under the Erasmus+ Programme.
This session will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Click here to register
This session will provide information on the 2024 Erasmus+ Call for Proposals, which offers a wide range of possibilities for university researchers, lecturers, administrative and professional staff, and students.
While the Programme is very broad, there are three components which are of particular interest to The UWI:
- Erasmus International Credit Mobility: This component supports the mobility of staff, researchers, lecturers, and students between different partner universities in the EU and outside the EU. The UWI is already involved in this component but welcomes the opportunity to strengthen its involvement for its staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Capacity Building in Higher Education: Here grants could be accessed to support, for example, the establishment of new studies such as “Master in Circular Economy” and other hot topics.
- Jean Monnet Actions: This could be of specific interest for Chairs and Faculties with a specific interest in the EU, from a trade, regional integration or law perspective, to mention a few areas.
Prior to the Session, it will be useful to learn more about the Erasmus+ Programme.
See here: Home | Erasmus+ (europa.eu). A summary of the deadlines under the various Calls is also attached to this invitation.
For those who may already be interested in responding to the current Call for Proposals, and require further guidance from the European Union, you may also reach out to our colleagues: Florian.LUETTICKEN@eeas.europa.eu or Stephen.BOYCE@eeas.europa.eu at the EU Delegation in Barbados.
For those who are interested in participating in the next Call for Proposals that will open around November 2024, please contact Ms. Debbie Emamdie: Debbie.emamdie@sta.uwi.edu; STA-ERASMUS@sta.uwi.edu and Ms. Tennille Fanovich: Tennille.fanovich@sta.uwi.edu at the University Office of Research.
