The Old Yard: Year of the Blue

The UWI’s Department of Creative and Festival Arts invites the public to their annual carnival event The Old Yard – Year of the Blue on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from noon at the “Gayelle” at DCFA, Gordon Street, St Augustine. The space will be transformed into the architectural style reminiscent of long ago and this event promises to offer a dynamic mix of a journey into cultural history and a carnival masquerade showcase within the format of a heritage fair.

Witness portrayals of our very own traditional Carnival characters including Blue Devils, Dragons, Gorillas, Dame Lorraine among others. The Year of the Blue would not be complete without the Blue Soca Icon - Super Blue. 

Tickets are priced at $100.00 for adults and $60.00 for children.
