Government and Corruption: A Cross-Country Examination

The Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) will host a lecture by Professor Rajeev Goel, Professor of Economics at Illinois State University, on Thursday 8th May, 2008, from 7.00 p.m. in Lecture Room 2, The Institute of Critical Thinking.

Professor Goel will speak on the topic, ‘Government and Corruption: A Cross-Country Examination’

Professor Goel is a specialist on the Economics of Corruption and has published widely on this and related topics. The topic Professor Goel will be presenting on is one of extreme importance to the Caribbean and, in particular, to Trinidad and Tobago where corruption at all levels, continues to be a cause for concern.

Professor Goel will be a guest of the SALISES from Thursday 8th to Saturday 10th May, 2008 and is willing to meet persons.

Graduate and undergraduate students, public officials and the general public are welcome.
