At this seminar series, Ms. Lewis Agard will discuss the ways in which gender presents itself in T&T Carnival, shed light on the feminisation of Carnival, examine the intersectionalities of race and class in the promotion of Carnival together with delving into the contradictions in the promotion of Carnival and the social expectations of female morality. This session will deepen conversations on how gender and gender biases permeate local culture.
