The campus community is invited to gather on Thursday, March 7, from 1p.m. for a special event that is being held in commemoration of International Women’s Day.

Here’s how you can participate: gather on the LRC Greens to join the procession that will make its way to the Student Activity Centre (SAC). At SAC, there will be lots for attendees to participate in:

- Self Defense Demonstration: Learn valuable self-defense techniques and empower yourself with essential skills.

- Learn to dance with The UWI STA Spirit Team: Get ready to learn a couple moves and build confidence.

- Games and Activities: Join in on the fun with engaging games and activities throughout the event.

- Support Female Student Vendors: Show your support for our talented female student vendors by checking out their products and services.

- Face Painting: Express yourself by getting your face painted.

- Balloon Release: Hand write and commit those things that you are willing to “let go” of and release that balloon into the air to seal the deal.

The celebrations continue until 3p.m. and the dress code is purple.
