Volunteer Open Day 2024

The Division of Student Services (DSSD) invites the campus community to participate in their annual Volunteer Open Day (VOD) on Thursday, March 14 at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Greens, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event is about engaging with different Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and raising awareness of volunteer opportunities supporting local communities.

Volunteering is a great way to make a meaningful impact and to give back to the community. Volunteering with an NGO can help you:

- Contribute to important social causes, like education, environment, healthcare, and more

- Develop new skills and gain hands-on, well-rounded experience

- Expand your network by connecting with like-minded individuals who share your passion

- Learn about sustainable practices implemented by NGOs and promote sustainability

- Enhance your resume by demonstrating your commitment to social responsibility

Attendees can look forward to:

- Engaging with local NGOs and Community-Based Organizations

- Supporting our fellow students in fundraising for the Alternative Break programme: The St. Lucia Experience

- Seed/seedling distribution at 1:00 p.m.
