TEDU Virtual Seminar: China Caribbean Trade Trends and Implications for Regional Growth

The Trade and Economic Development Unit is hosting a virtual seminar, China Caribbean Trade Trends and Implications for Regional Growth on Thursday, March 28 at 10 am. The discussion will focus on the trade and development impact of China-Caribbean relations over the last few decades.

Speakers include:

-          Dr Mark Wenner, Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Virgin Islands who will reflect on China’s increased visibility in the Caribbean through various projects and initiatives;

-           Professor Roger Hosein, who will address the changing trade relations with China;

-          Dr Bhoe Tewarie, who will reflect on some of the associated policy implications for development

The session will be moderated by Emeritus Professor, Patrick Watson, Professor of Economics at UWI
