The Trade and Economic Development Unit (TEDU) continues its National Conversations series on Friday, May 24 with a Virtual Seminar on the topic Reflecting on the Medium-Term Economic Situation in T&T. This online event will begin at 7 p.m and focus on sharing perspectives on the mid-term economic outlook for Trinidad and Tobago.
As Trinidad and Tobago navigates the complexities of its medium-term economic landscape, several key factors come into play. The dual-island nation faces challenges such as fluctuating oil and gas prices, pivotal to its economy, and the need for diversification into sectors like tourism and manufacturing. Moreover, government initiatives aimed at boosting investment and infrastructure development are critical in shaping economic resilience.
Economist and Former Head of International Relations, Dr. Anthony Gonzales, will moderate the discussion.
