The Trinidad and Tobago Chemistry Olympiad's Prize-Giving will be held on Monday, June 24, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Main Salon, Office of the Campus Principal.

The Trinidad and Tobago Chemistry Olympiad (TTCO) is an Initiative of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and the Ministry of Education. The TTCO was officially launched on May 24, 2019, as part of the Science and Technology Week activities hosted by the FST. This National Chemistry Olympiad initiative was designed to:

−       Identify the top performing students in chemistry and provide additional training and international exposure 

−       Prepare a team of students to compete at all International Chemistry Olympiads (ICO) 

−       Increase the interest in chemistry for secondary school students in Trinidad and Tobago

−       To increase international recognition and exposure for our chemistry students

−       Improve the level of chemistry education in secondary schools in Trinidad and Tobago

The TTCO is open to ALL Secondary School Students targeting specifically those students who have begun a formal period of Chemistry training (typically Forms 3 to 6) and is open to all citizens of Trinidad and Tobago
