The Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL) announces The UWI/Guardian Group Premium Teaching Awards Ceremony carded for Friday, September 27, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at Auditorium A Teaching and Learning Complex.

This year's theme is, Empowering Educators, Enriching Learners: The AI Education Era and the Featured Speaker will Dr Mike Sharples, Emeritus Professor of Educational Technology, The Open University, UK.

This event is the latest installment to our longstanding partnership with the Guardian Group and the Premium Teaching Series, where we recognize and celebrate teaching excellence at The UWI, St. Augustine. The UWI/Guardian Group Premium Teaching Awards Ceremony is open to all full-time members of UWISTA's academic staff who have taught regularly for at least two consecutive years. It also includes Deans and Heads of Departments who continue to teach a minimum of half of a normal teaching load.
