A Conversation on Increasing Tobacco Taxes: A Win-Win for Health and the Economy

On Monday, 22 July at 6:00 p.m., join former Lead Public Health Specialist for the World Bank Group, Professor Patricio V. Marquez and Project Specialist at the HEU, Centre for Health Economics at The UWI, St Augustine, Mrs Haleema Ali-Sisbane, for the discussion on Tobacco Taxation as an effective policy measure.

Professor Marquez is also a Senior Associate at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; a member of the International Advisory Committee for the Global Mental Health Programme at the University of Washington; a governing member of the Charles Darwin Foundation for the Conservation of the Galapagos Islands; a Pledge Champion at the Tobacco Free Portfolios Foundation; and recently, a member of the International Advisory Committee for the World Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) 2023 Conference.
