All first-year undergraduate students are invited to attend the campus's Annual Matriculation & Welcome Ceremony which will be hosted on Thursday, September 19 at 5p.m. This year's ceremony will be held at The UWI Sport and Physical Education Centre (UWI SPEC).

Matriculation is the ceremony that formally recognises first-year students as members of the academic community and the University. Matriculate comes from late Latin matricula which means ‘register'. At Matriculation all first-year students sign the University register, recite the academic vow and are recognised as members of the academic committee by the Vice-Chancellor of the University. 

First-year undergraduate students are invited to attend with one guest (parent, spouse, guardian etc).
