The World Cocoa and Chocolate Expo (WCCD9) will take place on Friday November 29 and Saturday November 30, 2024, at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Cultural Cooperation, Mt Hope (click here to access a map) hosted by the Cocoa Research Centre, The UWI, St Augustine Campus.
The opening hours for the public are:
Friday: 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Come experience a world of cocoa and chocolate in this 2-day exposition that features local artisans, chocolatiers and much more.
Exhibitors will showcase products made with local cocoa ranging from snack items, to chocolates to cocoa beverages. Art and craft items featuring cocoa themes will also be on display and everything will be available for purchase by attendees.
The future leaders, students from local schools in particular schools in cocoa-growing areas, are invited to attend and witness the opportunities to be grasped within the cocoa industry.
Objectives:
- To educate the public about local cocoa and chocolate products.
- Invite participants to witness the revitalisation of the industry.
- Elevate income for makers of cocoa and chocolate products.
- Create networking opportunities for cocoa industry stakeholders.
