The UWI-INN Legal Aid Project presents "Justice on the Move," a Mobile Legal Aid Clinic hosted by the Faculty of Law on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the El Dorado Community Centre, Caura Royal Road, El Dorado, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

This free initiative targets individuals living in rural communities, incarcerated persons—especially women and children—students at UWI and the Hugh Wooding Law School, and social activists.

In response to significant delays in pre-trial detention and limited access to legal services, this project aims to bring justice directly to underserved populations, breaking down stigmas surrounding criminal processes and supporting vulnerable groups. Objectives include strengthening access to justice and improving life and legal outcomes for marginalized individuals.

Attendees can expect free legal advice and support from social workers, fostering increased access to justice, awareness of incarcerated persons' conditions, and critical conversations about penal reform. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience in human rights advocacy across Trinidad and Tobago.
