TEDU Seminar: Is Tourism a Viable Development Option for T&T and the Wider Caribbean?

The Trade and Economic Development Unit is hosting a virtual seminar, “Is Tourism a Viable Development Option for T&T and the Wider Caribbean?” on Friday, December 06 at 7:00 p.m. The discussion aims to stir public thought on macroeconomic issues within the Caribbean and assess the viability of tourism to produce FOREX and create economic growth. Attendees will garner awareness of how the restructuring of key sectors will create viable ways in which tourism can assist in transforming the Caribbean economy.

Speakers include:

-         Professor Roger Hosein (Professor of Economics, The UWI, St. Augustine)

-         Dr Acolla Lewis-Cameron (Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Senior Lecturer of Tourism)

-         Professor Winston Moore (Deputy Principal, The UWI, Cave Hill Campus)

-    (Founder and Managing Director, Leve-Global and Exceptional Caribbean)

Dr Anthony Gonzales, Former Head of international Relations and Economist. will be moderating the conversation.
