Bridging Agricultural Science and Geography through Sustainable Agriculture

The Department of Food Production will host a seminar on Sustainable Agriculture on Tuesday 20th May, 2008 at Room B. Frank Stockdale Building from 2:00 p.m. Mr. Nathan Mc Clintock, Department of Geography, UC Berkeley will be presenting the seminar entitled, “Bridging Agricultural Science and Geography through Sustainable Agriculture”.

Mr. Mc Clintock is a PhD candidate with more than a decade of international and domestic experience and training in sustainable farming and agricultural development as a consultant, trainer, researcher, journalist, teacher, student, and organic farmer.  His PhD research focuses on participatory local food systems planning and urban agriculture.  The MS research and coursework focused on nutrient cycling and sustainable agricultural systems. He has extensive publication in a variety of peer-reviewed and popular media.
