The Department of Food Production at the Faculty of Food and Agriculture (FFA) is excited to announce the return of on-site services for farmers through the Agro-Environmental Services (AES) initiative. This program plays a crucial role in promoting plant and soil health, addressing pest and disease management challenges and providing timely diagnostic support.
On-Site Diagnostic Services in Aranguez
As part of the AES initiative, on Thursday, June 26, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., on-site soil and plant health diagnostic services will be offered to farms in the Aranguez community. The team will conduct comprehensive assessments and provide tailored recommendations to improve plant and soil health.
The following services will be available:
- Diagnosing issues related to plant and soil health
- Provision of mitigation remedies
- Pest and disease identification
- Soil and water analysis
- Animal feed testing
- Food safety assessments
We encourage all farmers in the Aranguez community to take advantage of this service. In the upcoming year, this outreach will extend to additional farming communities across South Trinidad.
