The Trade and Economic Development Unit, Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, welcomes specially invited guests to the launch of Sixty Years of Independence: Achievements, Challenges and the Road Ahead for Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday 21st August 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the FSS Lounge.

This scholarly volume, edited by Bhoendradatt Tewarie, Roger Hosein, and Rebecca Gookool, offers critical reflections on post-colonial nation building, economic resilience, and sustainable development in the region, combining historical insight with forward-looking strategies.
