Step into the House of the Pelican! From Tuesday to Friday, the Guild of Students hosts four days of expos, cultural showcases, hall spirit competitions, Taste UWI, and more. Discover clubs, services, and opportunities, meet new people, and celebrate the diversity that makes UWI St. Augustine home.

Tuesday 2nd September – Opening Day

      •     5:00 – 6:00 AM → Flag Raising Ceremony at sunrise to celebrate unity and diversity.

      •     10:00 – 10:40 AM → Official Opening Ceremony with ribbon cutting and speeches.

      •     10:40 AM – 2:45 PM → Club, Faculty & Entrepreneur Expo with giveaways, performances, and activities.

      •     6:00 – 8:00 PM → Evening: Spiritual & Cultural Night – interfaith service followed by cultural performances, pan, drumming, and dance.

 

Wednesday 3rd September – Culture & Spirit

      •     10:00 AM – 3:00 PM → Expo Day 2 continues with booths, giveaways, and student talent.

      •     12:30 – 2:30 PM → Parade of D’ Cultures showcasing national associations with music, dance, and traditional wear.

      •     6:00 – 8:00 PM → Evening: Hall Spirit Night – hall entrances, chants, and performances in a competitive showcase.

 

Thursday 4th September – Engagement & Entertainment

      •     10:00 AM – 3:00 PM → Expo Day 3 with booths and student showcases.

      •     10:00 AM – 1:00 PM → Guild Bazaar with art, games, food stalls, and a mini petting zoo.

      •     9:30 AM – 3:00 PM → Taste UWI – culinary competition & cultural food showcase by Nation Associations.

      •     6:00 – 8:30 PM → Evening: Pan on D’ Quad – steelpan bands performing in a lively cultural night.

 

Friday 5th September – Wellness & Faculty Life

      •     11:00 AM – 1:00 PM → FMS Fest at Medical Sciences: tours, games, and student engagement activities.

      •     2:00 – 3:00 PM → Zumba Party at JFK Quad – fitness, fun, and community wellness.

Sunday 7th September – Closing Event

      •     7:30 AM – 5:00 PM → IAC Island Tour – regional and international students explore Trinidad’s cultural, natural, and historical sites.
