2025 New Faculty Orientation at UWI St. Augustine

The Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is delighted to invite new faculty joining UWI St. Augustine in August and September 2025 to our New Faculty Orientation, taking place on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The session will be held online via Zoom and is designed to equip you with the essential tools and knowledge for a successful teaching career while supporting your integration into our academic community.

Presenter: Dr. Leroy Hill 

During this orientation, you will:

-          - Explore the foundational aspects that support faculty success at UWI St. Augustine

-          - Understand the process of course design, planning, and delivery

-          - Learn effective teaching strategies to enhance student engagement

-          - Discuss assessment methods to measure student achievement and inform teaching

-          - Develop an appreciation for reflective practice and continuous improvement in teaching

-          - Build a professional network within the university and connect with experienced colleagues
