Criminological Conversations: Session 1

The Criminology and Criminal Justice Unit will host a one-hour Criminological Conversations session on March 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Social Sciences Lounge featuring presentations on completed and ongoing criminological research. These discussions are open to anyone interested in discovering the newest work emerging from The University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine.

Join us to listen, learn and engage with cutting-edge research that is helping to strengthen responses to crime and other pressing social issues in Trinidad and Tobago, while also informing national policy development.

Session highlights include:

  • Presentations by UWI criminology lecturers and students

  • Insights from current and completed research projects

  • A chance to explore evidence-based approaches shaping policy and practice
