Learn more about the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) at The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, during this upcoming virtual open house on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The SVM offers a dynamic five-year programme leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. Beginning each August, the programme combines innovative teaching, integrated learning, and practical training to prepare students for meaningful careers in animal health.

Graduates are equipped to make valuable contributions across a range of areas, including:

• Companion animal care

• Food animal welfare and production

• Disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention

• Veterinary medicine

• Agriculture

• Public health
