The One-UWI Indigenous Studies Research Cluster invites members of the campus community and the wider public to the second iteration of its Speaker Series, featuring a special presentation entitled “Language, Race, and Gender: Unequal Content Moderation Outcomes for Quechua Influencers on Social Media” by Dr. Dhanaraj Thakur of the Multiracial Democracy Project, The George Washington University Law School.

The session takes place virtually on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (GMT-5) / 2:00 p.m. (GMT-4).

This timely discussion will explore how content moderation practices on social media platforms can produce unequal outcomes for Indigenous language users and creators.
