The Marketing & Communications Department of The UWI, St. Augustine will host the National Secondary Schools Guidance Officers/Student Support Services Brunch on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the University Inn & Conference Centre.

This event is intended to formally recognise the important role that secondary school Guidance Officers and Student Support Services professionals play in supporting students’ social and emotional development, academic progress, and career planning. Through counselling, skill-building, preventative programmes, career days, and one-on-one engagement, these specialists make a meaningful contribution to preparing students for tertiary education.

The brunch will bring together Guidance Officers and Counsellors from public, assisted, and private secondary schools across Trinidad and Tobago, along with Campus Management and Deputy Deans of Outreach from all faculties, who will be seated among participants to encourage conversation and engagement.
