The Faculty of Medical Sciences invites members of the campus community and the public to attend the next session in its Bite-Sized Workshop Series: Climate Responsive Clinical Practices, featuring the topic “Air Pollution and Food Safety” on Sunday, 26 April 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sir George Alleyne Building, Warner Street, St. Augustine.
Hosted by the Department of Public Health and Primary Care and the Caribbean Centre for Health Systems Research and Development (CCHSRD), in partnership with SIHI Caribbean and the EarthMedic/Nurse Foundation for Planetary Health, this interactive workshop will examine the relationship between environmental health and clinical practice, with a focus on how air quality affects food systems and public health outcomes.
Participants will hear from expert facilitators Dr. Loren De Freitas, Dr. Safiya Cummings and Dr. Damion Basdeo as they share practical insights on climate-responsive healthcare and its role in building healthier, more sustainable communities.
