The Centre for Biosecurity Studies (CBS) invites students, faculty, professionals, policymakers and members of the public to attend Part 5 of its Webinar Series on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. AST.

This high-impact, two-hour webinar, titled “Global Hazardous Chemicals Management, Plastics and Sustainability in the Caribbean & SIDS,” will explore how the Caribbean and other Small Island Developing States (SIDS) can strengthen chemicals governance, reduce plastics pollution, and advance practical circular economy solutions suited to small markets.

The webinar will feature global experts from Veolia, the World Economic Forum, and Givaudan, along with international perspectives on ESG and environmental law.

Opening remarks will be delivered by Professor Sandrea Maynard, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Global Affairs, The UWI.
