Teach-In with Professor Emerita Richa Nagar

The Institute for Gender and Development Studies invites the campus community and wider public to a hybrid teach-in from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 with visiting Professor Emerita Richa Nagar titled “Agitating Regimes of Development and Expertise Through Feminist Collaborative Praxis.”

In this session, Professor Nagar will draw on fragments from her trilogy, Playing with Fire, Muddying the Waters, and Hungry Translations to explore feminist collaborative praxis, collective intellectual agitation, and the possibilities of unsettling institutionalized expertise. Her presentation will reflect on three decades of creative feminist work with farmers’ and labourers’ organizations, theatre practitioners, students, editors and authors across diverse contexts.
