The Trade and Economic Development Unit invites the campus community and wider public to a virtual panel discussion on Expanding Trinidad and Tobago’s Non-Energy Exports: Opportunities and Challenges on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom.

As Trinidad and Tobago continues to diversify its economy beyond oil and gas, this timely discussion will examine the prospects, barriers and strategic pathways for strengthening non-energy exports.

The panel will feature Mr. Emil Ramkissoon, President of the TTMA; Mr. Vivek Charran, Chairman of the Confederation of Regional Business Chambers; and Prof. Roger Hosein, Professor of Economics at The UWI. The session will be moderated by economist Dr. Rebecca Gookool-Bosland.
