The Health Economics Unit, Centre for Health Economics at The University of the West Indies, in collaboration with the Bermuda Health Council, will host the 17th Caribbean Conference on National Health Financing Initiatives (CHeF) from November 18 to 20, 2026 in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Held under the theme, Resilient Health Financing Systems in the Caribbean: Confronting Change, Transition and Transformation, the conference will bring together stakeholders from across the region to exchange knowledge and explore approaches to strengthening Caribbean health financing systems.

Discussions will focus on innovative healthcare financing, universal health coverage, financial protection and the long-term sustainability and resilience of health systems, particularly in the context of economic, demographic, epidemiological and climate-related change.

The conference aims to strengthen regional collaboration and generate actionable recommendations to help transform health financing frameworks to better serve Caribbean populations now and in the future.
