UWI Optical, Faculty of Medical Sciences, will join the global observance of World Sight Day 2026 on Thursday, October 8, at the Couva Multi-Training Facility.

Under the theme Every Story Counts, this year’s campaign highlights how everyone, from glasses wearers and caregivers to eye health professionals, has a story that can help build greater awareness around eye health.

World Sight Day is also a reminder to make eye care part of everyday life. This includes getting regular eye tests, wearing prescribed glasses, protecting your eyes from the sun, taking screen breaks, eating well and staying active.
